Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

BJJ, also called grappling, promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger and heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage andmost notablytaking the fight to the ground and applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments as well, which have become more and more popular in recent years. Grappling training has also been used in some self-defense training. Whatever the reason for practicing jiu-jitsu, it’s a well-crafted martial art for any shape or size.
